Finally, In Our New Home

SmartWebPros has just begun unpacking and setting up our new office. With Christmas upon us and everyone taking holiday time, the move became a bit hectic, not to mention the fact that originally we had planned to move in October! But the wait was well worth it and our new office space will make collaboration, creativity, and production even better. Although we didn’t have time to decorate for the holidays at all this year, seeing as we had a single day before Christmas, the new office still sparkles. With almost exclusively glass walls and floor to ceiling windows in the front, plus JDI London coming in to help us keep our space in tip-top shape, it should continue to sparkle all year round.
If you take a peek inside the other offices inside the London Roundhouse and the business park that is taking over the area, you’ll notice that many of the offices have similar, hyper-modern designs, with frosted-glass walls (the frosting is still on its way), and exposed wooden joists and ductwork.

As we settle into our new space, hanging paintings, picking out any new furniture and learning how to put all this new space to use in the best way possible, we also get the chance to rethink our own individual working spaces. With new monitor mounts that pull our large monitors up off our desk, as well as our standing and height adjustable desks and ergonomic chairs, we have a lot of fiddling to do to make our spaces just right.
I changed the height of my desk for sitting, adjusted the height and angle of each of my monitors about six times and changed my chair height as well to be in the most comfortable position. We all have to be on our computers for the majority of the day, so being able to do this in a comfortable way, is a real luxury in the office world. Even our computer screens are adjustable, from brightness to blue light settings.
In addition to our new individual workstations we’ve added a beautiful kitchen to our space. With the full-size fridge, hidden dishwasher and plenty of cupboards, lunch at the office has never been easier. Of course, it wouldn’t be a SmartWebPros kitchen without a coffee maker that’s set to brew at 9 am every morning!
And last but most certainly not least: our brand new boardroom. Fit with giant glass windows, comfy new chairs, and in the not too distant future a brand new table! We’re so excited to be in our new space and we can’t wait to show it off.
